On March 8, 2007, we crowned the recipient for «Woman of the Year 2007» from our 12 finalists. Mrs Gauthier was dissociated by her touching history and the courage she has to pass through difficult situations. We would like to thank all the people who sent their nominations to us. Thanks to you, we had the chance to discover extraordinary stories but especially women. At the same time, we would like to thank all the following people for the support that they brought to us:

Mother, wife, friend, colleague, neighbour, sister, etc… These women who, by their presence, their thoughtfulness, their humour, their charm, their talents, their gifts enlighten each one of our days. Inspiring and courageous women that face the world and sea walls daily....we all know one such person.
On the occasion of the International Women's day, we wish you to submit the name of the woman in your life that represents this type of spark in your life as a candidate for woman of the year 2007. There is no requirement for them to have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in order to qualify. The only criteria is that they be 18 years of age or older and live in one of the five (5) listed MRC districts: Antoine-Labelle, Laurentians, Pays-d’en-Haut, Rivière-du-Nord, Argenteuil.
Organized by the Community Loan Fund for Woman (CLFW) Lachute. The winner of “Woman of the Year 2007” will be crowned, on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the theatre presentation of “Revenez Lundi” - 19h00 at the Polyvalente Lavigne High School in Lachute. Tickets are being sold for $20 each.
All profits from that evening will help finance the woman entrepreneurial projects.
